Home projects pushed this trip into early October. We had originally planned to explore further north (Southern Sawtooths, Jarbidge, Uintas, Dinosaur Area, Northwestern Colorado). Now, it appears we will be heading South by Southeast.
This is what we tentatively plan to do:
WA: over 20 eastbound through North Cascades, Jamison Lake (grandparents used to fish there), Tri Cities for Agates
OR: Wallowas, Hell’s Canyon, Owyhee Area, Jordan Valley Area South
NV: Pine Forest Range Wilderness, Devils Gate, Bull Run Mts, Deeth and areas east for rockhounding, return trip through Tonopah and up into Black Rock area
UT: Beaver Area Agates, Pando near Fish Lake, Capitol Reef, Bears Ears Area, Bryce, Zion, then back into NV, returning home via Cascades (probably 140) and north along Oregon Coast.
We have been to Bryce in early November and had a bit of snow flurries. Not too worried yet
Any other POIs you would suggest? Thanks for any help. Trip length about 4-5 weeks.
