I'm planning a family vacation later this summer and am looking for suggestions on camping locations in Northern California. We'll be coming in on HWY 101 from Oregon, ideally I'm hoping for suggestions along the 101 between Oregon and Eureka, CA, including the Redwood National and State Parks area, Six Rivers NF and Shasta-Trinity NF. We are really interested in seeing Redwoods, if that helps in narrowing options.
On the way back to the north we'll be heading towards Klamath Falls so suggestions along HWY96 in the Klamath NF, or along HWY3 or I5 would be great.
I am hoping to have a new suspension before this trip, however for now I'm mostly stock, so while I'd really like some dispersed options in the NF I need to plan for moderate off-road.
