Hi All

I'm a noob to overlanding (been to badlands: very stressful in my new truck)

I live in Skokie and work in Evanston (just north of Chicago). Lease is up on stock F150 in Sept. Trying to decide whether to buy it (good price) or get Tacoma TRD. If I buy the F150, I'llmake a few mods

No desire to fly anywhere in near future. Just bought some camping gear and would like to get off the beaten path (no need for power or water.

Looking for easy off road trails/dispersed camping within a reasonable radius of Chicago (say 4 hour drive)?

Any recommendations

Best

HI Mark - Looking for a gentle drive on and off pavement through some back country and forests, check out the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail. It's an easy route, lots of places to camp, and stressless way to spend 2-3 days.
