[Geo Explore and Adventure]

I have to share this,...my high school kid is blazing a trail, worked his butt off to buy his first vehicle, got his Eagle Scout, and is ready to get out there and explore. It is so important to teach our kids the skills to help them navigate this crazy world and have some fun along the way, can’t wait to see where the adventure takes him.

Sounds like my kid. He just turned 21 this week and he has been OUT THERE for a while now. He's into all types of hunting and fishing. He's not afraid to take a road trip alone or with a buddy. In high school he and a friend decided they needed to go to Arkansas to duck hunt, so they did. He's adventurous but careful...I think. At this point all one can do is remind them and say a little prayer.

Congrats on your kid making Eagle Scout! Our younger son was in Scouting for a few years, but never made Eagle. He was a bit "rebellious" during high school, but after graduating from college with a computer science degree he surprised us one day by stating "I've joined the Navy"... that was 15 years ago, and he'll be retiring in about 6 more years!

ha! very true, @FishinCrzy i was glad to see my oldest get into this and now he's a junior in college in north louisiana and he goes on solo trips up into arkansas...definitely hoping that he DOESN'T act like i did back when i was solo adventuring at his age...
one great thing about kids is that they weren't around to see how their parents acted growing up

Haha! @FishinCrzy , so true, I know what you are talking about, I even lie to my kids about some of my scars and old injuries, as I don’t want them to know how crazy I was when I was their age. But, we need to let them explore and have fun too!!!
