Hi, all. I'm located in Nixa, MO, sw Missouri. I've had my 1998 Ford E250 2wd Sportsmobile for a little over a year and LOVE it. I'm a novice at (off road) overlanding and am looking forward to learning. In 2019, I followed the Santa Fe Trail fromits eastern terminus in Franklin, MO to Santa Fe, NM. I then headed west and visited the Monument Valley area, up through Moab and home.
I've been on again, off again about upgrading to 4wd on my van. I'm not interested in the hard core trails (trailsoffroad ratings of 4-5), but think the 4x4 + rear locker would be helpful in mud/snow situations and as a good general margin of safety.
