New Comms for the Land Rover

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

With our next Expedition a week away, I installed new comms into the Land Rover today.

GME 5w UHF 80ch with 6.6db gain fibreglass sprung whip.
Spot Gen3
Uniden 2w Handheld UHF 80ch (2 units)

The Spot will be broadcasting to a dedicated Facebook Page so that our regular overlanding facebook page doesn't get all cluttered with messages from Spot. We leave in 8 days.
