Hey guys, I'm new to the community, but thought I'd share the center console I just finished up for my Ford Ranger. My ranger really lacked any sort of storage in the cab, and the "middle" seat on the bench was hardly ever used, so I decided to make a center console solution that would add some storage, and give me a place to mount a CB and armature radio later on.

I started the project by taking some measurements, which can be challenging in such a confined space. Once I gathered all my measurements, I roughed out my design and started building it out of some 1/4 plywood.

Once I got the frame built, and gave it a test fit, I started to add the top panels.

Now that the panels were built, I began to add the locking lid, and hardware.

Next came sanding, and filling, and sanding and filling... so much sanding

After I was finished sanding, I gave it a couple coats of paint, and installed into the cab. The front panel is removable, and I plan to cut out slots, and mount in a CB and ham radio into the face of the panel.

It was a pretty quick and easy project, and it's allowed me to store my more in the cab, and will give me a location for radios in the future. Thanks for checking it out!
