My dad's new rig. (Anybody else running one of these?)

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Started talking to my dad about Overlanding. He has been wanting something 4wd and to tow his trailer. After talking to him about what he wanted and what he needed an what he was looking for I thought I found him the perfect vehicle. He took it for a drive and agreed. So this happened today.

He got a 2010 GX460. It's so awesome.

It's actually a Land Cruiser Prado everywhere else in the world.

That is a great rig. There are tons of folks running GX's. It's more 4runner then Landcruiser but still great.

Nice GX! Welcome!

Actually, the GX 470 and 460 are identical to the Land Cruiser Prado 120 and 150 (sold everywhere but North America). The 4th and 5th gen 4Runners and FJ Cruiser are all based on the Prado chassis, with different bodies (obviously).
Exactly, the only thing landcruiser about is the name.
