Hi everyone! I'm a novice offroader running a 2009 Nissan Xterra S model. I'm originally from Idaho, and have been on the dirt trails in the high desert and the mountains many times throughout the years, but nothing above a simple dirt road with snow, ruts, shallow mud holes. I live in Pueblo County, Colorado. I own three 4x4 vehicles total, including a 2009 Nissan Frontier and a 1979 Dodge Power Wagon W150, all time four wheel drive. My son is now 18, and we are planning on taking the Xterra and either the Frontier or Power Wagon off road soon. We're looking to explore some trails in Colorado this spring and summer, and do some camping.

The Xterra is stock, came with OEM size Big O brand Big Foot A/T tires. My plans for it include additional skid plates for the transmission and gas tank, upgrade shocks, bigger tires, and rock sliders. Thank you for having me here, and I'm looking forward to meeting people and learning more about traveling the back roads!

Welcome, fellow Nissan fan! I also own a D40 Frontier (2013), and an Xterra (2003). My wife also has a 2002.

Thanks for the warm welcome! My Frontier has been running strong for the past 15 years, it is my son‘s daily driver now. I’ve been working on it for the past six years, so getting a new daily driver and off-road vehicle that I could work on made sense. I think Nissan makes a very capable 4 x 4 without steep price tag.
