MO overlanding without a proper rig?

Hello!

I am new to overlanding. I can't justify getting a proper rig this years with the 40% used cars inflation. Maybe next year will be better. I wonder if there are any light trails in Missouri (live in metro STL) suitable for FWD Highlander with deep thread tires or Subaru Tribeca AWD with shallow but legal threads (for cooler months I have a set of deep thread winter tiers). Ground clearance is 8" for both cars.
