So here is the link to my 1968 M101A1 trailer overlanding trailer. Took about 3 months, still not done, I would like to swap the axle and tires but not a high priority at the moment.

First pic is my 03LC, 3 in OME lift, Nitto Ridge Grapplers 275/70R/18, they run great, smooth and quiet. Rust free CA truck with 235,000 miles, now in VA.

Next pic is the M1101 that I thought I wanted and when I picked it up from the gov liquidation site knew it was a bad choice, way too wide.

Pics cover most aspects of the build, clean up, getting a handle on the rust, paint, all new wiring, pull out kitchen, sleeping platform, hi-lift jack mounted, front storage and other features. The tongue was extended, harbour freight tongue box and jerry can holders now have plenty of room. The set up allows for a standard ball or switch to an off road set up.

Still lots of bugs to work out and need to take it on the first trip with my sons but for the most part done.

Wow, that is one hell of a lot of work there, @USCavScout - very impressive! I didn't expect to see so many images, and got a kick that some of them move and had a little narration, of sorts.

I love having a trailer and think you will too. I did without one for many years and now that I have one, of course I haul a lot more stuff, but have a lot more room in my van and can now set up a base camp and awning and kitchen and not have to tear it all down if I want to go away for the day.

Love the old classic pick up you have there, too, and have been scouting around for that kind of color green for my trailer and van. Did you paint it yourself, and have the color name/number? I think I want to do mine in farm implement paint; don't care much about it being show quality or overly glossy, just durable and easy to match later if I want to touch it up.

Good luck with whatever else you want to do with your trailer; it's looking pretty sweet - easy to see you've put a lot of thought and energy into it.
