Has anyone used a 2014 / 15 3.6 oil cooler assembly as an upgrade for replacing the 2011 / 13 assembly.

All thoughts and opinions are welcomed.

The oil filter assembly with cooler shows that it applies to 2011-2017 models so there should be no problem replacing the old unit with the newer one.

I saw the one denso makes (all aluminum) and they said it would not fit the 12 only 14/15. I have a 12 and 15 both use a different filters because of the assembly design. I'll ask the stealership when I pass there tomorrow.

Thanks for the response.

I don't know that the pics are always representative of the exact part, and sometimes the online parts catalogs have bugs, but your local dealer should definitely be able to determine what is correct and if the newer oil cooler will work on the earlier year.
