A friend and I are taking a few days to explore NM, notably we are interested in the Jemez Mountains. Current plan is to hit Gilman Tunnels, perhaps stop by the Spence springs, then the San Antonio Hot Springs, and from there we aren't sure.
The goal is to stay off the main roads as much as possible, and see some of the best sites the Jemez has to offer. We will be base camping each night, and the only backpacking we plan on doing is while visiting the SA hot springs.
We have 3 days for the trip and will be coming from El Paso. I don't suppose anyone has any GPX files on routes/trips they've already taken in the Jemez? Also looking for some outstanding recommendations for campsites along our trip.
