In Amarillo, Texas for a week starting tomorrow. Any tips for the area?

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Hey all, OB #14045 here. We travel fulltime and are in Amarillo, Texas for a week starting tomorrow.

Any tips and suggestions on trails, local OB meetups, things to do and food worth eating would be appreciated!

Thanks.

I would recommend going to Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Not sure what kind of offroading there is, but definitely good for mountain bikes!

I second Lake Meredith. Wife and I stayed a night there in July on the south end of the lake on a trip up to Montana. We were the only ones in the area and was very quiet. McBride area if I remember correctly.
