Hello fellow Overlanders,

We took a last minute trip to the Curraghchase Forest Park in County Limerick in the west of Ireland.

It's only a small forest with 313 hectares of forest but is a perfect retreat from the stresses and bustle of "normal" life.

Vehicles have to park in the designated public carpark or within the campground which makes it a safe paradise for adults and children alike. Cycling is allowed.

We hastily threw some kit into our tiny trailer, loaded up the kids into the car and took off Saturday a little before noon.

A wonderfully relaxing afternoon and evening was spent exploring, clambering and climbing followed by a quick to prepare meal at a small campfire.

We'll be striking camp in a few hours when the sun has dried out out gear and some more exploring and maybe some Geocaching will be done.

I've no pictures to share unfortunately from this trip as I've damaged the glass over my phones' camera and it won't focus.

So far it's been a relaxing trip to unwind from the pressures of everyday life.
