Hello from Bay Area

Hey All,
New to OB but not new to adventure. I ride motorcycles and do enjoy riding to remote places and some long hauls like Alaska. I live in the Bay Area. I will give you some background why 4x4 has now become important for me.

My wife who loves riding pillion cannot mostly accompany me on these wonderful rides to explore nature because we have two beautiful daughter 5 and 9. Over time, we have realized that our daughters don’t mind long drives and be connected to nature as well. In fact, I will love for my little ones to explore more as they are asking for it more and more. They are also bored of the paved roads after I have taken them to some light trails on my MDX. In comes the need to consider a 4x4 since 4 of us cannot fit on a motorcycle (haha!) and MDX won’t take us everywhere.

I am considering the new T4R offroad- premium but really wide open to suggestions. I was struggling between a truck and an SUV. I really like the appeal of a secured cargo space in an SUV but also know I can haul my motorcycle (and a new dirt bike coming for my older one) on the bed of a truck.

Any thoughts from all you wonderful people is deeply appreciated!

Also, is there an active Meetup anywhere in Bay Area?

Welcome from Arkansas! There are so many options out there. I would Suggest you break up your post and ask about the rigs in a different one and then go to you area forum to ask about meet ups. You will get much better response that way. Have a great week!

This part of the forum is slowly going to be the place for all info in the West Region. Unfortunatlu sometimes you need to dig around but we are taking care of that.
As for meet-ups there are several check out the meet-up page and the calendar to see if one works for you. If you have any questions msg me @Kent R
