At the Rigs n Coffee event in Laguna Hills yesterday, several people asked me questions about ham radio, and getting a license. While there are dozens of reasons to justify ham radio for overlanders, it can seem formidable as to how to get a license, and tougher still, how do I use a ham radio once licensed. I ran across this Ham Radio Quick Start Guide that has lots of good info and links. I enjoy answering questions at the gatherings and will continue to so so.
