Wanted to see if anyone on the forum is using Go Treads. Given price and the mostly positive comments on Amazon I wanted to get the communities opinion.
I bought a pair at last year's Overland Expo East. We had a couple snows last year and I went out looking for stuck people specifically to test them out. They work incredibly well in snow. Also, this summer I finally got to test them out with some mud. Nothing serious, just a work van stuck in a soggy yard. A 3/4-ton van on bald, narrow street tires just wanted to dig in. It took us 4 or so runs with the Go Treads, but we were able to self-rescue the van. I really want to try them in sand. Maybe an opportunity will prevent itself tomorrow while I'm at Carova. Anyway, I am very happy with them. Don't forget that they can also be used as leveling blocks to get a RTT sitting pretty. Blue Ridge Overland Gear has a great bag for storing and carrying them if you do get a set.
