Ft. Collins or Denver area 4th of July weekend

I am heading to Colorado for 4th of July weekend. Arriving early afternoon friday July 3rd, leaving Monday morning.

Are there any trail runs planned for the time I will be out there?

If not can anyone recommend some easy trails?

I am traveling alone in my fairly stock Tundra soI don't want something that is going to neat the hell out of my truck at this time. Just some nice scenery.

Could also use some suggestions for camping that is away from city lights.

I don't think I'm gonna make the trail run today...I'm still in north Platte Nebraska

I know it's super short notice so that makes it difficult to plan anything.
