Hey folks, wife and I (and Dude, the dog) are heading out to Jeep Easter Safari in Moab. We are taking my Jeep JK with a m101 in tow. Plan is to head out from FL on March 17th and be back April 1st. Here are some details:

  1. We have to be in the Phoenix area on March 22nd to meet up with JP Magazine's "JP Dirt & Drive", which will end in Moab.
  2. We will spend 3 or 4 days in Moab then head back to FL.
  3. Route both ways will be non-interstate, mellow paced, camping every night. Staying in a cabin while in Moab
Would really welcome input on route considering the 2 week time crunch. I am avoiding I-10 and I-20 the entire way, which is the route we have taken many times (but always in a hurry). Here is what we have come up with so far:

Any route suggestions? or must see places along the way?

In Moab you may be busy with the safari activities, but if you have spare time, this is a good route. It is not difficult, but it has some of the best views you can find. The Shafer switchbacks are spectacular. Dead Horse Point has a fantastic view of the Canyonlands area.

On your way home:
Colorado - You can drive through the beautiful Ouray/Silverton/Durango area.
