Feeley & Carr Lakes

Up off Hwy 20 in the Sierra Nevada's between Nevada City and Truckee is a pair of fantastic little fishing lakes packed full of native trout. We frequent this area multiple times a year. There is camping sites if you so wish, plenty of hiking to other lakes in the area and lots of other little routes to go explore. This is part of the PG&E nature sites. The main campground at the far end is still closed down due to improvements.

Lindsey lakes are awesome as well. The camp sites on lower Lindsey lake are great, especially in the fall when there is less traffic.
