As I have been installing various accessories, I am now at a point where I need to pass wires into my truck cab. For things like lighting on the roof rack, what have you used to get the cables through to the inside that doesn't look butchered into place and also is waterproof? I have looked at the solar pass-throughs for motorhomes, but they are large and bulky. I have searched the site but have not found anything on this. If I have missed something, please let me know.

What kind of rig do you own? There are lots of creative ways of making waterproof pass throughs. Search emergency vehicle light installs on YouTube for some ideas.

use the key words cable glands and do a google/amazon search. We use them on big test systems exposed to wash downs and oil all the time.

Agreed. Cable glands are the cleanest and safest install. You can use firewall grommets for floors and protected areas (like firewall pass through) to protect against splashes, but anything located where water can settle or wick down wires should be run through a gland

I bought a pack of these to have if I need them. Not sure if I bought this exact one, but very similar. Years ago, I used this style when doing car audio installs and never had any issues.

Thanks for the link!
