Tired of paying $25 a pint for the stuff. Still searching for a good recipe to make Elderberry Syrup. Used for alot of medicinal ailments. Tomorrow we will endure it down and process it.

those things grow wild all over UK, sides of walls, old mill chimney stacks, railway sidings, in your rain gutter, crack/joint in your drive . They are worse than dandelions for seeding themselves.
Now back to the question.
Are you talking about making Elderberry winter Tonic Syrup?

Handed down from Granny Clampett herself.
...Don't make wine with all of those berries :-)
Making Elderberry Winter Tonic

where the recipe says preferably local for honey...it MUST be local for hay fever sufferers. I'm not shitting you.

Hope That Helps Tokyo

Lucky all i have are blackberrys growing on my fence line. I do make wine and pies from them and sell it to my wifes co workers. What are some of the major benefits of elderberry aside from cleaning infections from the kidneys ? I keep some in liquid form, capsules and gummy chews after i had a kidney stone, i know for a fact it works for that and uti. But what else is it good for ?

When my mom became a chiropractor a few years back she turn me onto all the natural remedies. I know some stuff works like the manuka honey and colloidal silver but havent figure out alot of the other stuff yet. I refuse to ask her because it would turn into a 3hr speech.
