Taking a family trip from San Franciso to Oregon and planning to stop and camp along the way. Does anyone have any recommendations for dispersed camping? I am thinking of camping in Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Id suggest tamarack lake. Castle crags exit in castella, takes about 45- hour to get there from the highway driving leisurely. Only the last bit, close too the lake, is rocky. Most the way up is maintained dirt road. Plenty of great camping spots on the way up as wellgjk.jpg
