Death Valley trip

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Heading to Death Valley for the first time and looking for some suggestions on what trails to hit and some possible dispersed camping spots?

The wife and I just returned from our trip. I highly recommend staying at or at least swinging by the Geologist’s Cabin. Echo Canyon was beautiful, as was Titus Canyon. As far as natural wonders, the Valley is full of them, not the least of which are Ubehebe Crater and the Racetrack Playa. The “Racing Rocks” are all at the far south end of the Playa. I attached a GPX file from our trip, along with our Campsite spots. We primitive camped in our Jeep JLU And had a great time. We found a couple of our sites thanks to the recommendations of OB member PortageBay, who volunteers at the park.
