We were bored and decided to go to Talladega National Forest 600-2. So, we packed up the diaper bag and some food for the 4 year old, wife, and myself. It was fun and we were glad we went, even though at the end the 1 month old had enough of being in the car seat! Here are some pictures of the trail and my wife and I. The kids fell asleep when we took the picture, enjoy!

600-2 was a good trail. There are several that I found on different sites. I'll try to see if I can get them on here.

I can't remember what site I downloaded these off of and I can't upload the gpx as they will not allow me to select them. We are wanting to try to get to all of these, but over time. Hope these help.Screenshot_20180707-075920_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-075926_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-075934_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-075940_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-075949_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-080008_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-080021_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-080034_Gaia%20GPS.jpegScreenshot_20180707-080046_Gaia%20GPS.jpeg

Here is the overall park with all trails mentioned. Be careful on the way out there, coming from Auburn there was a road closed, google and my trucks navigation lead us on an unexpected adventure. Just give yourself some extra time to get there just in case.Screenshot_20180707-080604_Gaia%20GPS.jpeg

I went last week and did 600 1 and 600 2. Good stuff! Frustrating that the forest servic had EVERY minimally maintained road closed. Grrr.
Just ran 600 1 from North to South pretty good run.
Exited off of 600 2 and found another alt route (33.3971438, -85.8700016) a little grown over and a little deeper than I wanted to run solo but after 200yds it really branched out to 3 trails.

We are going to be going back and checking out 600-2 later this week. We are looking forward to it. Early this week we are going to Gulf Shores for a day at the beach. We are looking forward to a couple days in the great outdoors!

When you guys were out at 600-2, was Adams Gap Rd still closed? Just trying to figure out our exit route. We will have our 4 yr old and 4mo old with us.

I’m in Jacksonville, and I grew up running Kentuck and the surrounding areas. I guess I need to explore a bit off 600-2 and 1. I’ve ran those trails numerous times but never really ventured off. Unfortunately they have graded almost all of 600-2 and it’s very smooth now :/

Were you out there recently? It has only been a couple of months since we were there. There are other roads at Talladega we haven't been to yet. There seems to be a lot of trails that are full of fun stuff!

Man! I was looking to see when we were there and it was the end of June. Oh well. I know that we want to explore there more, but it hard to do it with a 4mo baby and only one vehicle. Otherwise we would have ventured off on some of the side trails.
