Hi Guys, Im planning to head to the Cataloochee valley and was wondering about the road system. I have found that the touristy part seams nice and all but on the maps there is a road/path that runs all the way to the Harmon Den area up above Hurricane Creek Trail called Old Cataloochee Turnpike. Does it really run that far up and is it even passable? I think it would make a nice long weekend trip to explore that area and hook back in to Harmon Den area. Any help would be awesome as that's a very sparsely populated area and fuel is just as sparse.
