Canyonlands NP

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

If heading into southeastern Utah, anything by Craig Childs. His first book, Stone Desert, is soon to be rereleased with his notes from which he wrote the book. It is specific to the Canyonlands area, but universal in its appeal to those wishing to learn how to see the Southwest. He'd best known for House of Rain, but I've never been disappointed with any of his works. If you are into the ancient rock art of the area, his most recent work, Tracing Time, is fascinating.
