Can't see my 'New Post' using N'ew Posts' button?

Hello, prolly noob and to much time wasted on FB, but...

When replying to a thread once I post, if I hit 'New Posts' tab it does not show as a new post?

Maybe others can see a new post but as I use New Post buttons on forums regularly I am a little confused as to why I cant see that I have posted recently. If I go out into the forum list it will show as last post by, showing my username etc... Any ideas? I have looked at my preferences but cant see something I have missed?

When you create a new post and then send it, it goes to the end of the thread and shows you your new post. In doing so, it marks it as read by you. So clicking New Posts won't show it. As soon as there is a reply it will show on the new posts list again.

I've found some forum software works this way and others as you expected.

Also if you click on recent posts, you will see all recent posts read or not including yours in time order.
