So many of my overlanding friends have been asking me about the best thing one can do to save trails. Well, it's not hard. The BEST thing, probably, is to show up for work -- show up for trail cleanups, Trail Guardian, work days, trail clearing with a local club, anything that puts boots on the ground and gets things done to sustain our recreation.
Now, if you want to take it a few steps farther, JOIN those clubs and groups that make sense to you. Be a member. And donate once in a while. There you go. The BEST things you can do to save trails. I base that on 35 years of saving trail work.

Yes, I travel solo most trips and pick up wherever I go also. The little things make a big difference. Taking a 4X4 driving corse is also very important, many guy in the back country love to use that skinny peddle instead of knowledge. I don't know how many trials just get worse because of miss use and poor driving.
