Hey guys new to the forums but I’ve been working on a build out of my s10 for a bit. I’m looking to create a removable tent/siding system that will simply lift up when I raise my topper (clam shell style). Was curious if anyone had suggestions for a good material? I’m wanting to keep it light weight and breathable like a normal ground tent. All help is greatly appreciated!

I would suggest you consider silnylon. It seems to be a good choice for your application and I know plenty of hammock campers that use it to source their own gear.

Silnylon has some amazing breathability!!!! with that too, there's the downfall of if you're camping in the winter camping that cold wind will whip right through! I hope we get to see pictures of the final product!!!!
