Traveler III
Hey Overland Bound!
I just got back from BCOR 2019. Dried out all my stuff from the continual downpour we had, and got it mostly packed away. I was hoping to connect with more OB members, but at least I saw a bunch of you guys out there!
Share your pics and stories from this year's event, and hopefully next year will be even bigger and better.
I was super stoked for BCOR this year. Last year was my first, and I had an absolute blast. This year, my vehicle was significantly better equipped. Here it is all packed up:
The drive up was beautiful, and the rain hadn't set in yet. I was so excited to find myself at the gate:
So many amazing rigs and events, the biggest challenge was trying to figure out what to do when, so as not to miss anything. Of course it's impossible to do everything you want to do, unless you can be in more than one place at a time.
One of the most amazing rigs was a true overlanding legend, The Grizzly Torque, driven around the world by none other than the famous Robert Bateman and his friend Bristol Foster. It was an ice cream truck in texas or somewhere for a while, but it has been rescued and lovingly restored by a BC owner, including, amazingly, convincing Robert Bateman to re-paint the original murals that he painted of each country they visited!
