I used 2 sections of 15/16" Unistrut (7' each) on the bed rails and held them up front with 3/8" J-hooks in the stake pockets. In the rear I took the tail lights off and put a 10" long 3/8" threaded bolt through the hole in the bottom of the stake pocket (with a washer). I used 2 nuts on all four corners with nylon lock nuts on the top of each.
The cross members are 74" Unistrut (1 5/8") with end caps on them. I attached them to the bed rail strut with 1/2" T-connectors, spring nuts, and 1/2"x1" bolts.
The total build was less than $250. After a shake down run this weekend I will take it all apart and prep/paint them, then put them back on. I can mount and dismount the tent with one person onto a dolly and roll it into a corner of the garage. Pretty happy so far!
