  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

First thing I learned that trip is rock sliders would be nice and those steps were my weak point. So what to do found some rock sliders from RSG metalwork and get them on.
Next trip was rausch creek in PA. Not sure why I didn't take any pictures lol but the rock rails made blue trail (moderate) possible and they got used alot. I would recomend this as a first modification it opens up alot of doors and provides a peace of mind.

After that I wheeled the truck as is for awhile. She went alot of places and impressed my jeep buddies. But finaly it was time for a lift kit and a new front bumper.
For the lift I went with Dobinsons it went on well only word for it is easy. I went with 3.5 up front and 2.25 of lift in the back. There kits are cool you can kinda build it however you want. I added control arms and a dront diff drop kit to it both are well worth it and needed for over 3 inches of lift.
For a bumper I chose armor armageddon a DIY version of Southern Style Offroads bumper. If your blessed with a friend who is a very good welder or are one this is an insain value protects the rig, gives you strong front recovery points and the ability to mount a winch. (Which I plan to do.) And added a cali raised led light bar for alittle more visibility at night.

Last step is upgrade the tires.
We did a mod known as the body mount chop to the truck while we had it apart to lift it it allows room for more tire.
If you ask my wife how many tires I jumped back and forth to before makeing a call she'd laugh. One day all terrain the next day mud terrains. I narrowed it down to BFGoodrich KM3 eventually but then what size? I decided on 295/70/17 and decided to get some new wheels while at it Method 308. Some fender triming and the body mount chop and the fit just perfect. Diameter is 33.3 inches and 11.8 inches wide and it looks perfect!
