Alignments

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

The only time an alignment will change is the event of wear or damage. That being said last time I aligned my rig was 5years ago after replacing tie rod ends.
If you need frequent alignments there is an issue in your suspension or steering that needs attention.

@Dilldog said it correctly.

Toe (steering) is the only thing that may need looking at after a good romp in the rocks.
Camber/Caster. Camber is springs. On your front, if you have a camber issue either you broke something or a spring is sagging badly.
Caster....you bent something. Badly worn bushings will also cause caster/camber issues.

Do some research and learn how to check and fix toe yourself. Its easy.
I can do all three in my driveway but toe is the one I do periodically because I tend to be hard on my vehicle.
