I just wanted to introduce myself to the community...
Hi - I'm Mark, and I have a need for adventure travel problem ;)
(everyone says - "Hi Mark!")
My rig of choice is a 2015 BMW R1200GS built for off-road, long-distance travel. I used to ride as a kid, stopped when I went to college and picked it up again at 42. That was ten years ago. Over the last four years, I've been an off-road motorcycling instructor helping other adventure riding enthusiasts to pick up the skills necessary to travel safely and confidently off-road so they can explore the world. Like many, getting out into the wild of the backcountry is my reset for spending too many hours in front a computer.
Motorcycling aside I spent three summers traveling with our daughters around America in our Ford Excursion while my wife was pursuing a second degree in nursing. The day after they got out for summer until two days before they had to start school in the fall we lived out of that Excursion. We become vagabonds; leaving what turn to take up to the person on "decision duty" for the day. This experience was the closest I have ever come to living in the moment and has had me chasing adventure travel ever since.
If you are located on the front range of Colorado (I'm in Boulder) and want to talk travel planning, overlanding rigs (of all types), travel gear, craft coffee, etc. hit me up. These winter months have me thinking/planning about the summer months of travel coming up.
