Traded in my beloved WRX for a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. I've missed being able to explore off road, and the gas mileage was brutal.
So far it's still stock, but I've got plans for tranny and rear diff skid plates (has a front skid plate from the factory), and maybe a small lift.
I took it out in the Rockies last weekend, and it is surprisingly capable in deep snow and mud. Even was able to tug a stuck Ram 1500 out of a snowy forest service road rut it was stuck in.
