For sale is my 2018 Lexus GX460. I purchased the vehicle in November of 2021 after the original owner traded it back into the dealer they originally purchased it from. I am the second owner and there is time/life remaining on the Lexus CPO warranty. It had 27,562 miles when I bought it and now has 31,1xx miles on it (which will go up ever-so-slightly). It has never been in an accident, never been smoked in, and has been treated with care. The exterior color is Black Onyx and the interior is Sepia. It has the following options: Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, power retracting/auto-dimming mirrors, Heated/Ventilated front seats, navigation package, Intuitive Parking Assist, and cargo net. The vehicle has a clean title.
Mechanically, the vehicle is a perfect 10/10. It starts, idles, and drives as if it was brand new. It’s up to date on maintenance, all of which has been performed by the aforementioned Lexus dealer. I can provide maintenance records going back to the first service. The interior is in excellent shape as well, let’s call it a 9/10. The seats are effectively perfect, everything works perfectly, there are no scratches on anything up front, the screen looks and functions perfectly, and so on. There are a few scratches in the cargo area. Cosmetically, the exterior is in very good condition overall. There are a few scratches on the sides, there’s a minor scratch under the rear bumper, and the passenger side running board has a scrape underneath it, so it’s probably an 8.5-9 out of 10 overall. The latter two of these are only visible if you’re specifically looking for them. Somebody with a decent detailing hand could bring the exterior of truck back to 100% or close to it with relative ease. There is minor superficial surface rust underneath the vehicle, typical of any Toyota product that has lived its life in the Northeast and been driven through the winter at least once. None of this jeopardizes the integrity or structure of the vehicle. Again, someone with a care for cleaning it up would have an easy time doing so. Note that the truck is dirty in the attached pictures, but I will be washing it once I have some free time.
This GX has extensive upgrades, all of which I have added to it in the time I have had it. The full list of modifications is as follows:
My asking price is based on a few factors. This formula started with looking at GX460s in my area that are of a similar year, mileage, and options on CarGurus, Cars.com, and Autotrader. I then priced the vehicle on KBB, NADAGuides, Black Book, and so on. These searches led to a valuation in the $40,000-50,000 range. I split the difference at $45,000 then added 50% of the cost of the parts/products (components alone, not labor) involved in the modifications that are staying with the vehicle. This brings the asking price to $48,500. Given the vehicles listed elsewhere with similar upgrades, all of which have higher mileage, this seems to be a fair number for this vehicle given the condition, year, mileage, options, and so on. Known flaws are limited to the aforementioned minor cosmetic issues and that it could use an alignment. I have factored these into the price. I can provide the VIN upon request. I am happy and open to discussing the vehicle further with anyone interested in it, and can provide further pictures/information should an interested party desire. I am happy to pick a buyer up at the local airports or deliver the vehicle within a reasonable distance.
My intention was to build this GX for long-haul comfort and capability, with plans to drive it cross-country and use it as the basecamp for adventures. Plans and priorities have since changed. I have a lot of time, effort, and emotional investment in this GX460 and know it will serve its next owner well for a long time to come. Thank you for looking, and please do not hesitate to reach out to me should you be interested.
