I have not done the trail, but I would suggest checking out Ozark Overland Adventure on YouTube. I've seen several videos where his group (GoExplorUSA i think?) have trailers and no issues.

Just like anything good, always do it in moderation. Every trip my family and I take, we discuss the pro's/con's of our trip and things we could do to make it easier/less stressful for our next trip.

Even though I love my Roam Vagabond XL, my biggest regret was not going with a hard clam shell tent.
