Any one in North central Ark doing anything ?

Just seeing if anyone has a interest, I’ve been frustrated with some of my friends that are losing interest in exploring, camping or wheeling Anything but gravel and very easy access camps . I don’t do social media so I guess I’m out of the loop on most stuff, I’ve wheeled and car camped all my...

    Winches

I fully agree on the m8000 , I’m a big warn fan, and still think the 8274 is the best winch out there, but it’s hard to mount on most newer vehicles, with that said I have a older superwinch 9.5 on my XJ and it’s been great, it’s quiet, pulls great and with good line speed. I didn’t know they...

Nathan Anderson started a thread asking about creating a sub region New sub region? But commented he couldn’t get any traction and kinda gave up on the idea. I think he has a good idea, and he generously offered to moderate it. But if a sub region won’t work here, how do we go about...

Nathan I was out exploring today and thinking on this, like I told you in a PM, I joined here to try to find like minded folks outside of my normal running buddies , who i can’t get to do anything any more Other than go camp in easily accessible camps. That’s just not my thing And particularly...

Thanks grub worm, Arkansas has almost unlimited hiking opportunities , of all levels. I assume being from LA you’ve been around the ouchitas and in particularly the Albert pike area ? The ouchita trail is a great trail that runs through southern Ark. And there is dispersed camping all over the...

What should be the first mod

A fuel credit card Seriously the mods I’d suggest for your current vehicle such as sliders and a winch, you already have. Others have covered it I think, so be sure your maintiance is up to snuff, grab some maps and a sleeping bag and hit it. You will figure your needs as you go.

My other rig is a 96 jeep XJ, I have it mainly for the harder local trails in which it does very well. It’s equipped with a 5 1/2” rubicon express lift , protofab front bumper with a 9500 lb superwinch , the rear axle is a 8.8 ford with a OX locker, front axle is a Dana 30 with a super 30 chrome...
