I'm 285 and spent alot of time in a rtt. They are not made for big dudes. Worst than roof max weight, the ladder is not rated for the weight while climbing up and down. Also, keep the weight off of the overhang side.
Long story short, I sold the rtt and went with a teardrop (squaredrop) setup
I bought it used, but it's from bass pro. They have it right in the store. It's actually decent
