    The Last Trip?

In any of the circumstances you propose, to be on the road is enough. I'd probably pick somewhere I've never been before. I always find happiness in exploring a new road or trail. I'd probably head towards in the Southwest? Stop at some old favorites along the way.

Have you converted to all Electric and no Gas

I guess I'm old school still, but for high energy density and low cost gas is still better. Not faulting the OP for drawing a line in the sand and going with all electric, it's always exciting to lead the way. However, early adopters usually get punished for their efforts, as mass adoption leads...

    How would you start over?

Since we just traded a Tacoma in for a Tacoma, I'd have to say a Tacoma. I'm a Toyota fan-boi so I'll adjust around the trucks shortcomings to drive what i think is the most reliable truck out there. I might make a different decision if I won the lottery or something but I'm pretty happy with...

Does Overlanding Require You to Go Off Pavement?

I own a pretty capable off-road vehicle and I don't mind a challenging road from time to time. But Honestly, I'm mostly an "Overroader" myself. I like to have a vehicle that can get me down any road I chose so if I want to tackle a rutted track or a bad section of dirt I can but, I'm not going...

    My Raptor needs a name!!

First off, that is a nice color on that truck! As far as a name goes, Robin is the first thing that popped into my brain when I saw it. Other names... Hunter, Evelyn. I dunno, sometimes it's hard to pick a name.

    Tired Overlander

I feel you on the car culture thing. I was seriously into Autocross for about 10 years. For the last 5 years of that I ran a pretty strong SCCA national level event schedule (It was 6 - 8 full weekend events with 6-12 hours of travel), plus local events, plus doing HPDE track events in the gaps...

    Decision Help Requested

Since you said you are getting a loan on the Tundra I'm making a few assumptions about your finances. Based on those guesses, I'd say sell or trade in the FJ to ease the cost of the new truck and give yourself a little extra budget money to enjoy the new ride. If you where in a different...

    Jackery vs Yeti

Thanks for all the inputs everyone. I'm considering a portable battery setup like this and I found everyone's input very helpful.

Utah Wanted All the Tourists. Then It Got Them.

It sucks that places get overrun but then it's to be expected I guess. With social media/you tubers glamourizing travel to these places visitation is bound to increase. They show the world how easy it is to go places and do things. I don't blame folks for wanting to do the same things they've...

Overlanding and Outdoor Cartoons....out of my mind.

Nice work on these Things! I just read through the whole thread. Laughed out loud a couple of times.

    2019 Subaru Outback Build

My wife has wanted a Subaru Outback for a long time and we finally got to the point we could fit one in the stable. We got lucky and found this low mileage 2019 3.6 Touring in Pennsylvania, so a couple weeks ago we made the trip up from North Carolina to pick it up. We plan to make this more of...

    National Forest Stamps

Oh and the national wildlife refuges also have a stamp program now.

    National Forest Stamps

North Carolina has a stamp program and a passport booklet for their state parks. You can email a pic of your passport after every 10 parks you visit and get some swag. Pretty nice program. Getting a passport and stamps might be hard due to most of the visitor centers being closed now.
