The Inreach costs 4 times as much and requires monthly subscription, while Inreach offers a lot it wasn’t worth extra money to me.

Dedicated tablet for mapping

I use a Dual xgps 150 GPS receiver with an iPad. The GPS connects to the iPad via Bluetooth and is very accurate and doesn’t need cellular if you download maps.
