What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Today I loaded up the rig some more for vacation next month, not much left to load really, just the dry food box, stove, solar panel, dufflebag, and load the fridge and freezer. Also tested out my Overland Solar 120 watt solar panel I bought after Christmas, and I am very impressed with it. It...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I have used a cinch bag/stuff sack before and kept it in the tent, but it is just one more item besides the duffel bags to get in the way. I think I will like the shoe holder, but I am going to have to modify it to stay closed at the top.

Bihlerflex Perfect Bungee Test 4-21-2018 In the past I have used cargo straps and ratchet straps for securing my camping gear in the rig. This year I bought some 36" Bihlerflex "The Perfect Bungees" via Amazon. However they were out of the two packs for the cheap price listed below, and I paid...

Corey's 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Build

Thanks, it is kind of a challenge finding room to pack in a small interior. After you add a fridge and other stuff, the room disappears very fast.

Yep, just a play on their name. I rode a mule once, but I was a wee lad and do not really remember it. Mules are nice, and I have heard they are very smart.

PakMule Added 3-21-2018 The FJ Cruiser is known for not having a ton of room inside, and last year I was able to fit only one bundle of firewood to take on vacation. Fortunately Mount Rainier National Parks campgrounds has a vendor there that drives around before it gets time to build a fire...

Relocated Fire Extinguisher & First Aid Kit 3-17-2018 With my Outer Limits Supply First Aid kit on the rear door it protrudes too far into the cargo area when you shut the door. In order to relocate it I had to move my fire extinguisher to a better location, and I choose next to the fridge on...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Just bought a Pakmule hitch cargorack. PAKMULE Sway-Back I need room to carry bundles of firewood for camping, and they are not going to fit inside my FJ Cruiser. I barely had room last year for one bundle of firewood. What I like about this rack is it is aluminum, fully welded and put...

    Awning Advice From Andrew White

I have to disagree with one thing he said, and that is that a 270 degree awning is not great if you are going to leave your rig in one position the whole trip. When I used my Eezi-Awn Bat 270 awning at Mount Rainier last August, I did not move the rig, and I had very good protection from the sun...
