Nissan FS vs Toyota FS why is Toyota preferred?

Jumping in waaay late here... While I'd love to believe you, it just isn't true. As a Ford owner myself, I do wish it were true. Ford continues to dominate the truck market in NA year after year. Sure, there's plenty of aftermarket parts for Fords, just not in this space. The following link...

    Winch Options? - Need advice ('18 F150)

That's the one I found and was leaning towards too. Man, expensive. Another question. Can this be done relatively easily at home?

I unfortunately have the 2.7 EcoBoost. Love the engine, but didn't think about the winch problem until after I bought it. Is there a specific relocation kit that you're looking at? I'd like to do this too.

Bed Rack vs. Cap (ARE style, or similar)

I like those, but if I was going to spend that much money, I would get an entire tray and canopy setup. Thanks for the link though!

Bed Rack vs. Cap (ARE style, or similar)

So, something like this? 1500 Lbs Capacity Universal Over Cab Truck Rack And then you would drill holes in the top of the cap for the uprights to go through? I kept looking and found this one as well. 19601 Paramount Workforce Ladder Rack For Use With Truck Caps It doesn't support as much...

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

Not having knowledge of how to build an overlander... That me right here. But, that's why I joined this site! I will need your help, lol. On a serious note: Most of us have loyalty to one of the brands. They all have their pros and cons. The reason I ended up with a Ford honestly, was the...

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

YES! Thank you! And, you summed it up much better than I would have been able to. Joking aside, I'm planning the Tremor as my next truck.

What did you use to make your bed?

Bed Rack vs. Cap (ARE style, or similar)

Oh, I see. You said you'd be building one. Do companies make such a thing? I'm not very handy, nor do I have a lot of tools.

Bed Rack vs. Cap (ARE style, or similar)

So a hybrid system would be a bed rack built under a cap? Also, I have had in the past, a cap where the sides open for access to the bed if the back was blocked. That is what I would get again. Basically, the side glass that is most of that side panel opens up for access.

2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Ext. Cab Build

Nice build! I really like what you've done in the bed. I'm starting out in overlanding, and think I'll start out with something similar until I can get the RTT and everything else I want.

Have you seen the Tremor package that Ford just announced for their Super Duty's?? Pretty sure that will be my next truck... in 3 or 4 years. Of course the next reply was about this, and I didn't see MidOH's post before replying. I was too excited to talk about the Tremor.

I like that setup, man. I just posted a thread on bed racks vs caps. I'm just getting started into this and hope to someday have a mod list like that. Have fund out on the trails!
