I was able to snag a Tepui Kukenam for $957 today after getting a $1,000 Gift card for $850 then a Cyber monday deal with 30% off the $1500 price tag. That $957 is with tax and it was ready to be picked up four hours after ordering it.

I know you posted this a while ago but on my 4Runner gobi I use Gzila Designs mounts with the Gobi Pins, It ran me about $100 if I recall correctly for both items when I did it. Can mount them flat, upright or at any angle. I love them when I use them.

This has been discussed a lot, while the tent played a small factor it was inexperience and taking a poor line... Having a RTT is fine if you know what you are doing. I have had my 4runner on some extreme angles but having a spotting is key to know how far you can push angles.
