Currie 9" 4 linked in the rear and TTB out of a 91 bronco cut turned and lengthened in the front. 44s are way to small for that heavy truck.

I had an 02 4WD Avy once. [emoji106] I recommend checking your steering box if you wheel it at all and reinforcing it so it doesn't egg out the mounting holes, not an uncommon issue. Otherwise good to go.

Do you need bead lock wheels for overlanding?

An interesting thing: 10 years ago or so 4Wheel and Offroad magazine did an article showing most de beads actually happen on the inner side of the rim and once the bead breaks the seal its the outer bead of the tire that pops off. So think about that for a minute. Granted that's when they were...

Do you need bead lock wheels for overlanding?

I ran tires without bead locks on my old long travel truck running into the 10-12 psi range. 35" tires on 15" rims. The sideways force doesn't get much harder than that and never lost a bead. I run my tires at 15psi now in the Tacoma on 33s with 16" tires and again never lost a bead (knock on...

SFSMedic's 2012 Tacoma TRD OR - Build Thread

Purchased the ARB CKMA12 compressor with the only intent to use it as a compressor. No need for air lockers since the TRD Off Road has a really good locker setup that hasn't let me down yet. I bought the Slee Offroad mount and installed the compressor under the hood. The slee mount was...
