    US Southeast Keowee-Toxaway Camping Trip

Crappy GoPro footage of me following Jeff through the slick part of Auger Hole. Skip to about ~8:30 if you'd like to see/hear a Subaru lose it's mind coming up a slippery incline.

    US Southeast Keowee-Toxaway Camping Trip

Transferring is pretty easy. I just had to call and tell them the original reservation number, and give them my info. No fees or anything.

    US Southeast Keowee-Toxaway Camping Trip

Mark actually transfered his site over to me, since he can't make it. So I'm not squatting on someone else's site anymore, if that helps out.

    US Southeast Keowee-Toxaway Camping Trip

I just called Gorges and they said: a) The gate at the river is open and you can go through Gorges all the way up to Musterground. b) As far as they know, the gate at Bad Creek is open and hunters have definitely been coming in from the SC side, but suggested I follow up with the appropriate SC...

Did you have a campsite reserved by any chance? I'm in the same boat as @Sasquatch SC. Gonna have to primitive camp nearby or squat on someone else's site.

US Southeast Musterground Mountain/Bad Creek Reservoir Trip

I just used GoPro Quik for mine. Free, and easy to use if all you're trying to do is pull some smaller clips out of a larger video. You pretty much just open a video in it, and drag the left & right blue sliders pictured below to narrow the original video down to a clip you want to save. I...

Sure was. I briefly thought that I lost traction and was sliding into it.

US Southeast Musterground Mountain/Bad Creek Reservoir Trip

Not to derail the conversation about the next meetup, but here's some more GoPro footage. Come for hearing me say "fuck" when I see the washed out ditch from the last section of Musterground Rd. Stay for the heavy sigh after I go over it.

I didn't notice that one of the side-by-sides actually had a dead deer in it.

Just started sifting through my GoPro footage. Video to come as I work through it, but here's Jeff showing us the way from the hood of my Blue-baru .

Best Places to OL in NC?

I've been on Heintooga Round Bottom. It was kind of long, but it was a really easy road. I think it took us about 90-120 minutes. Some good hiking trail heads and fishing opportunities along the way. I don't remember seeing much in the way of camp sites directly off it, but I wasn't looking for...
