Talk truck, trails and trip planning

I have stayed in a couple of Walmart parking lots on cross country trips. Not all of them allow it and the trend is less or letting people stay. They don’t have great scenery but the camp store is super full stocked.

I put a Dobinson 2.5" system on my 2012 GX and have been very happy with it. It supports 33" tires and has been tested on over 20K miles both highway and rough off road. 33" tires are really the max for a GX without getting into series rubbing issues.

I have a 2012 GX260 and have done a few mods with lots more planned. So far a Dobinson suspension upgrade, with TRD 17"s and 33" KO2s, Rhino Rack, 3rd row seat delete, DIY slide out kitchen and fridge, rock sliders, and a couple of recovery points. More to come as I look at armor and winch...
