    1990 FJ62 Landcruiser Build

Hi Dana, No, actually I have yet to get a rear bumper. It's on the list but that all depends on cash flow so this won't be happening until later in the year. At the moment I am torn between the 4x4 labs bumper and the 4Plus rear bumper but leaning toward the 4x4 labs number. What made you go...

    1990 FJ62 Landcruiser Build

Hi Ian, welcome to the cult. LOL. First off, if you have not already head to the IH8MUD forum and create an account for all things Land Cruiser, especially the 60 Series Wagons page. This is where I started my research and the folks there are open and willing to help. The 60 Series FAQ on the...

    1990 FJ62 Landcruiser Build

Thanks. The slide comes from SoCal Teardrops. The thing is solid and built to last. The call it the SCT Fridge/Stove Combo slide.

    1990 FJ62 Landcruiser Build

Yeah, the setup works out well. I've got some plans on the drawing board that will move it to the other side but also allow for a drawer system and sleeping platform. Hopefully, I'll get that done by the end to the year.

Thanks Dave. I have to say I love her too. LOL. Looks like I need to update this build thread a bit. There have been a few changes since I last posted about it. Happy Trails.

    2016 Nor-Cal OTG Rally 2.0 Convoy

Hey @Mike G My plans have changed as I expect to be in the Sierras early next week and have opted to help set up OTG on Thursday so I won't be part of the convoy. Kinda bummed actually. CYA there.

    2016 Nor-Cal OTG Rally 2.0 Convoy

I'm easy. I'm in South San Jose so anyplace south of 85 on 101 works for me.

    Overland Expo 2016 Coverage

I've signed up for my classes and now just have to wait until the road trip to AZ begins. Overland Expo 2016 Coverage

I'll be going again this year. Looking forward to an Expo West Overland Bound convoy and meetup. Last year I didn't get out as much as I was pretty much hunkered down due to the weather when I was not in a class/workshop. I get the camping with a crowd deal, but honestly, if there is a crowd...

    "Off the Grid" Pictures

I had such a great time on the drive up and back from Bald Mountain, but I think the best thing I'll take away from this event is the new found camaraderie among new friends and fellow overlanders. Click on the link to see the pics. Overland Bound #OffTheGrid Rally 2015 If folks prefer to...

Coleton's 80 Series Slayer Build thread

Very nice build. Makes me think about moving away from my 62 to an 80.

What are you using for a fridge/freezer.

I've been using an ARB 50 Qt fridge freezer for over 4 years now and have not had a single problem with it. Like @StringTwelve I typically stage the fridge a day or two early. I used to do this in the house but the last couple of years I just stage/pack it where I store it... on top of the SCT...

    2011 KK Liberty Trailer

Great build Fred. I've always considered the off road trailer route. With a smaller rig like the Liberty, that out to work ought perfectly.

    1990 FJ62 Landcruiser Build

I hear ya, I have plenty of projects in various states of incompletion, LOL. The idea of picking up another is always tempting though.  The 60 series are reliable and relatively easy to work on. They are getting a bit long in the tooth so while there are still lots of after market parts, its no...
